Nannies:
A nanny may be expected to look after the children & everything to do with
them - washing, ironing, tidying, cleaning their rooms & nursery areas & cooking
for them. Above all, a nanny will have the ability to entertain & stimulate
the children through constructive play, activities & outings. The nanny will
be used to the responsibility of being left in sole charge of children & can
be expected to do 2-3 nights baby-sitting a week.
Mother's
Help:
This position is for those who have not had much experience with children
other than brothers & sisters, or perhaps baby-sitting but do have some insight
as to the hard work involved. A Mother's Help works alongside the mother as
an extra pair of hands, helping with washing, ironing, shopping, light housework
tidying & of course playing with the children. They may also be given occasional
sole charge & do 2 -3 nights baby-sitting a week with 1.5 - 2 days off, usually
at weekends.
Maternity Nurses:
A Maternity Nurse will usually work a 6-day week & a 24-hour day, helping
& guiding young mothers who have just returned from hospital to get their
new baby into a routine. They are dedicated solely to making mother & child
comfortable whilst they are there and can be employed for any length of time
- from 1 week to 1 month or more.
Other Work:
We can offer candidates for a variety of long & short-term work: caring for
the elderly, special needs, housesitting, cooking & even some occasional waitressing.
